    Investment Castings

    The aluminum investment casting  method is used for the other smaller methods.

    In many situations, it can produce complicated shapes that are very difficult to produce and the ones which are not possible in the die casting. But it only requires surface finishing and minor finishing too. The casts can be made of the wax model, but in those cases, there is no direct method for it, indirect method needs to be followed in many cases.

    • THE INJECTION PROCESS: The casting method usually starts with the production of a wax pattern which is actually made by injecting wax into a metal die. In many cases, companies do offer generic medical products which is used for the tooling.
    • THE ASSEMBLY PROCESS: After the number of wax has been produced, the next step is to actually know the amount of pattern which is running through the system. The running system is made up of reservoirs and passageways. They don’t actually help in guiding of the molten metal, but also in providing of the additional metal for compensation of the contraction
    • THE SHELL PROCESS: This is indeed the process in which the entire pattern cluster is dipped into the slurry and then it is drained and then it is coated with the fine ceramic sand. This in turn is helpful in creation of a self supporting shell.
    • THE DEWAX PROCESS: This is a suitably coated cluster meant to turn the cluster upside down and then place the boiler in the place where the cluster actually melts. Hence, this in turn leaves a ceramic shell containing cavities that are of desired shapes which are combined together.
    • THE CAST PROCESS: This in turn helps to burn out the last traces of the wax and for developing the high temperature of the ceramic system.
    • THE KNOCK-OUT PROCESS: In case, the metal is cooled and  you simply need to see that the excessive material is removed.
    • FINISHING: Once, each and every process is carried out, and then there is a casting process which actually deals with the heat treating, straightening and inspection.
